LEAD INTENSIFYING SCREENS
Thin sheets of lead foil, laminated to one side of a flexible card backing. A sheet of X-Ray film is placed between two screens, in close contact with the lead foils and then within a flexible or rigid film holder (cassette) to provide a light tight package for exposure to X or gamma radiation. When using X-Rays greater than 150kV or gamma ray sources the use of pair of lead screens of equal thickness, normally 0.125mm (0.005") or, when using high energy radiation sources, 0.125mm front screen and 0.25mm back screen. TESTRADE supplies high quality Lead Intensifying Screens in packs containing either 5, 10 or 25 pairs of screens of equal thickness, (0.125/0.125mm or 0.25/0.25mm) in all standard film sizes.
