Intermediate (Double Sided) Lead Intensifying Screens

INTERMEDIATE Screens are supplied in packs of 5, 10 or 25 pairs screens, each with TOTAL lead thickness of either 0.1mm (0.05/0.05mm) or 0.2mm (0.10/0.10mm)

For radiography of test pieces of different cross section in a single exposure, two films of different speeds can be exposed simultaneously in a single film holder using a ‘SANDWICH’ technique. An INTERMEDIATE Lead Intensifying Screen, (a sheet of card with lead foils of equal thickness mounted on each side) is placed between the two films. This whole assembly is then placed between a pair of Standard Lead Screens in contact with the outer surface of the film.
